Frequently Asked Questions

How do I add a child?

Tap the + button on the main screen. Enter the child's name and their weekly allowance amount, then tap Save.

How is the amount owed calculated?

The app counts how many paydays have passed since the last payment (or since the child was added) and multiplies by their weekly allowance. Any extra chore amounts are added on top.

How do I change the payday?

Go to Settings (gear icon on the main screen) and select the day of the week you want as payday. This applies to all children.

How do I add a chore?

Tap on a child to open their details, then tap "Add Chore." Enter a description and amount. The chore amount is added to their total owed.

What happens when I mark as paid?

The balance resets to $0, all pending chores are cleared, and the payment date is recorded. You can see the last paid date on the main screen.

Can I manually adjust the balance?

Yes. Tap on a child, then tap Edit. You can adjust the balance, change the last payment date, and update their weekly allowance.

Is my data backed up?

Data is stored locally on your device. If you back up your iPhone through iCloud or your computer, the app data is included in that backup.

Does the app collect any personal information?

No. Pay Me Bro does not collect, transmit, or store any data outside of your device. See our privacy policy for details.
